HARDBALL '98

 

I received this game for Christmas last year, and I enjoy it also. Like all good games, it has a few weak points.

  1. The animation in the create player screen doesn't reflect a player's height, like Triple Play '98.

  2. Goaltender control is difficult to master.

  3. The game runs much too fast.

  4. The 3D models are chunky and often cause players to appear to be sitting on the ice, as if they were in the bench.

  5. Breaking the glass with a shot is even more difficult than in NHL '96.

 

This is an excellent game, but is basically a slightly improved '97.
