First of all, Slabee is not his real name. It's a nickname he gained a while ago. He can no longer remember his real name (That's a fancy way of saying 'I haven't given him a real name yet') but he remembers his nickname. Slabee Leesa, roughly translated as 'The Weak Fox'. It resulted from a turbulent kit-hood, which all started off when his parents were killed by a wandering wolf pack (although he doesn't know it for certain) when he was a mere 90 days old. He managed not to get eaten for about 30 days, until he found another den of foxes. Because he had not been taught to hunt, his growth was stinted noticeably, and the younger kits teased him and frequently found ways to prove their strength. This is how he got the nickname 'Slabee', weak. He left the den a few days later and entered the wilderness at a mere 2 1/2 months old. Whether it was skill or just sheer luck that kept him alive until now is unknown, but he has gradually trained himself to hunt, albeit not very good but good enough so that he can eat every few days or so. His growth has been severely stinted due to lack of food, because as stated before, he wasn't taught to hunt, which relates to his small size and immaturity compared to his age. Because of his turbulent life, it has caused him to become deeply cautious of other animals, instead of hostile. He has learned from experience not to challenge others, but to fear them until proven otherwise. He is very curious, however, and will commonly poke around places until being alerted that others are there. These things combined make for a very interesting fox.
